At the Gradonna ****s Mountain Resort at 1,500 metres above sea level in Kals am Großglockner, we focus on sustainability in order to protect the valuable nature of the Hohe Tauern National Park. Our energy concept, construction methods and operations conserve resources and are environmentally conscious.

Timber construction with low-energy standard

All buildings are made of wood with shingle facades and spruce wood on the inside. Swiss stone pine in the bedrooms has been proven to promote sleep and well-being.

Kalser marble

gives the lounge, the bathrooms and the spacious spa and wellness area an exclusive yet down-to-earth touch.

Gradonna focusses on sustainable natural cosmetics and regional products. The in-house line "Magdalena's" utilises herbal knowledge, and wild and cultivated herbs are used in care products and the kitchen. Regional meat is processed in the in-house butchery and the delicatessen supplies chalet guests. Table linen is avoided to conserve resources.
