Incentives, seminars & conferences in the mountains
Each seminar has special requirements and its own ambiance. At Gradonna, your seminar hotel in Tyrol, you can choose between several multifunctional seminar rooms, the glass-enclosed "Weitblick" in the tower, or the Johann-Stüdl Hall in the mountain village of Kals.
Seminar rooms at a glance
Event rooms in various sizes and seating arrangements are available. The light-filled seminar room "Geistesblitz" (approx. 55 m²) and the "Denkstuben" (40 m² to 260 m²) offer ideal options for seminars. You can also enjoy privacy with your participants in one of our restaurants. For special events, the Johann-Stüdl Hall in Kals, with space for up to 330 people, is ideal.
With its size of 55 m² and a room height of 2.5 m, this room offers ideal conditions for events with up to 30 people in parliament seating and 50 people in cinema seating.
Our thinking room number 1, with a size of 260 m² and a room height of up to 3.5 m, offers space for around 200 people with cinema seating, 160 people with parliamentary seating and 100 people with U-shaped seating.
With 75 m² and a room height of 3.5 m, this room offers the perfect ambience for events with up to 80 people in cinema seating and in block form.
(parliament seating for 60 people and U-shape for 30 people)
50 m² size allows events for up to 60 people in cinema seating and block form (parliament seating 45 people and U-form 25 people).
For an event at the highest level, the Gradonna Tower offers you a breathtaking 35 m² with a room height of 2.3 metres. Enjoy a first-class seminar ambience with a panoramic view of the mountains of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
High above, at the summit of the Cimaross at more than 2,500 metres above sea level, the Adlerlounge is enthroned at the highest point of the Kals-Matrei ski area. Alongside the Gradonna, it is our second event stage, where every seminar and every conference automatically becomes a summit meeting of knowledge, information exchange and interpersonal interaction. The futuristic architecture of the Adlerlounge is a deliberate contrast to traditional Alpine architectural styles. Nevertheless, it is able to resolve the supposed contradiction between modernity and tradition in a highly exciting way. Or perhaps precisely because of this.
The Adlerlounge offers you far-sighted rooms that can be ideally adapted as seminar rooms. Including views of 60 three-thousand metre peaks and the Großglockner. In addition, you and your group can enjoy first-class cuisine, a stylish lounge and a bar with excellent communication facilities - all the prerequisites you need for seminars and conferences of a particularly successful kind. The fact that you and your guests arrive and depart with our own gondola lift is just a small bonus. Albeit a very interesting one. Especially when you consider that we can take you up to your evening event late at night and then back down to Gradonna. Or take you to a sunrise breakfast with your seminar guests early in the morning.

In 1867, Johann Stüdl, the son of a Prague merchant family, came to Kals am Großglockner for the first time and quickly gained a reputation as an alpinist and benefactor, as the people of Kals owe him the then new route up the Großglockner via the south-west ridge, which is still called the Stüdlgrat today. The event hall in the newly built Kulturhaus in Kals, where we also organise your event at four-star superior level, also bears the name of the first person to climb numerous peaks in the Glockner group.
What makes the Johann Stüdl Hall an ideal venue is not only the modern stage and seminar technology and its capacity of up to 300 people, but above all its Swiss stone pine ambience. In addition to its impressive appearance, Swiss stone pine is also said to have a positive effect on the human organism. Our ancestors already knew this and therefore held heated debates in the soothing ambience of a Swiss stone pine parlour. In fact, scientific studies show that this special type of wood has a positive effect on people's ability to cope with stress and regenerate. Just the right effect for intensive seminars, workshops, presentations and conferences.
The Johann Stüdl Hall is located in the centre of Kals and can be reached on foot or by mobile transfer in just a few minutes (4.5 km).
